Background and experience
Bachelor of Liberal Studies (Psychology and English Literature), Graduate Diploma in Writing, Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, Master of Counselling Psychology
Iris has experience working with adults and adolescents in private practice, community health, and school and university settings. Through her Master’s research Iris examined the use of creative writing practices to facilitate positive psychological change following trauma, known as post-traumatic growth. She has a particular interest in using writing practices to facilitate emotional healing and personal development.
Prior to working in psychology Iris worked in the community sector and an agency environment, and she brings an understanding of these settings to her clinical work.
